Long Overdue

Pocus Hocus is an indie comic book series in the horror/comedy genre. Having its origins on Kickstarter, this outstanding passion project is being published by Source Point Press for release on Oct. 25th of this year. Just in time for Halloween!

The first issue was originally released on Kickstarter back in 2021, and five issues later has become a smash hit among indie comic book fans. The series has even inspired its own spin-off run called “Horus In Hell,” but that’s another article.

At long last, this horror/comedy masterpiece will be available to the general audience just in time for spooky season this year!

What Is ‘Pocus Hocus?’

Written by Allen Dunford and Will Radford, the story follows a magician by the name of Pocus Hocus. He is on a journey to get his soul back from a demon, whom he traded it to for real life magical powers.

His motivation? What could possibly drive a man to such desperation, as to sell his soul? The approval of a father. His quest leads to shenanigans aplenty with death and terror lurking around every corner, as he journey’s into Hell to retrieve his soul. He is not alone in this quest though, along for the ride is his assistant Emily, a demonic pink rabbit named Horus, and a demon who HAD Pocus’ soul (name to be revealed in the story).

The artwork and lettering from Balondo, Smith and Lentz lend and even more magical feel to series. Encapsulating the horrific circumstances our “heroes” find themselves in while at the same time keeping things fun and light when appropriate.
