The final battle is upon us, as Babs is finally squaring off against Tiberius Toledo. Will Babs’ makeshift militia be able to thwart Toledo’s troops, or will she finally meet her maker?

The Final Battle

Babs and her makeshift militia line up to face off against Toledo’s troops and in grand Babs fashion she leads the charge to start the battle. As Toledo and Babs do battle, Izzy and Culpepper try to keep the rest of the troops at bay. Unfortunately for Culpepper this ends with his disgrace in battle. Despite her effort, Tiberius overpowers Babs and disarms her.

As Babs does anything she can to stay alive, it feels like all hope is gone. The only hope left is Mork, as the sword landed by him. As the sword and his band of misfits try and get Mork to throw the sword to Babs to give her a chance. Mork has an internal crisis, should he do the right thing and help Babs, or should he cling to his incel ways and continue to help the tyrant that mistreats him?

A Little Unit No More

Babs #6 is a fitting end to this fun fantasy epic. Garth Ennis stays true to the groundwork he has laid down throughout this run. Issue 6 gives us some of the biggest laughs, best battles, and even a fitting happy ending (pun intended). The bloody battle mixed in with the vulgar humor are a match made in heaven.

Speaking of matches made in heaven, this art team is just that. Jacen Burrows brings this epic battle to life in a big way. The detailed violent battle that is in the forefront of this issue is stunning and violent. Andy Troy’s color pallet adds a ton to the battle and surrounding area. It draws your eye in and showcases the violence perfectly.

Final Thoughts

Babs #6 is the perfect ending for this great series. The only disappointing thing about this story is that it is over. Hopefully, we will get more from this fantastic world at some point. Do yourself a favor and get a copy of this issue and all previous issues at your LCS this week. Also, keep your eyes out for the TPB, as that will be an awesome buy when it drops.
