Don’t Let Me Die in the Woods
We open in 2019 with a group of campers in the Pine Barrens Who are in search of the Leeds Devil. They end up getting more than they bargain for as the tent starts to shake and the noise becomes more terrifying. But is it what it seems to be, or is it just all fun?
We are then transported back to 1909, where Henry is trying to find his brother Roy in the woods. Roy and his two friends are in the woods in search of whatever has been killing the livestock. They run into some older hunters who tell them to get out of the woods. Shortly after shots ring out, but what are they meant for and who or what do they hit? Most importantly, will the brothers make it out alive?
The Story Comes to an End
Let This One Be a Devil #4 brings us to the conclusion of the story of the Leeds Devil. James Tynion IV & Steve Foxe mix in some elements to throw the readers off the trail in this final issue. Taking some big swings and chances along the way. Some of these risks pay off and throw some good curveballs. However, overall, it feels as if they didn’t stick the landing on the conclusion. The ending fell a little flat and left the reader more puzzled than satisfied.
The art in this issue much like the rest of the series, is very good. Piotr Kowalski does an excellent job with the character design and the all-around atmosphere. Every panel draws you in and keeps you looking for more details. The colors that Brad Simpson chose to go with make the art pop off the page and match the mood of the story perfectly.

Final Thoughts
Let This One Be a Devil #4 finishes up the story of the New Jersey/Leeds Devil in an ambitious way. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite stick the perfect landing. The series has been very good, so for this final issue to play out how it did, it must be considered a little bit of a miss. Still recommend this series as a whole and if you don’t have this on your Pull List, make sure to grab the TPB when it’s available.
Overall Grade: 7/10
