Step Right Up and See the Devil
The 9th and Dime Museum in Philadelphia claims to have the Leeds Devil on display, however it’s a fraud. Meanwhile, back in New Jersey hunting parties are starting to form in hopes of killing or capturing the devil. It seems as if everyone is having Devil hysteria, except for Mrs. Naughton.
As Mrs. Naughton and Henry make their way from town back to the farmstead. They start to discuss Roy and his disdain for his brother Henry. We learn that Mr. Naughton was hard on Roy, because he perceived Henry as not a worthwhile man. This led to some abuse and other deplorable actions done to Roy. In an effort to gain some love from Roy, Henry attempts to stop him from hunting the Devil.
Moving Towards the Conclusion
Let This One Be a Devil #3 turns the heat up on not only the hunt for the Devil, but also the turbulence within the Naughton Family. James Tynion IV and Steve Foxe do an awesome job of putting us front and center for the war of the Naughtons. They tug at our heart strings with the family drama. But they also find a way to consistently remind us that there may be a monster on the loose.
The art continues to deliver in this issue. Piotr Kowalski does a great job of bringing the early 1900’s look to this book. From architecture to character design, and even the creature design scream early 1900’s. Brad Simpson then adds to this world with his awesome old timey feeling color pallet.

Final Thoughts
Let This One Be a Devil #3 may not be actioned packed. But what it lacks in the action department it more than makes-up for in the storytelling. This series has ramped up at a slow consistent pace, and that stays true in this issue. This is a must have at the LCS this week and should be high on your list next month for the finale.
Overall Grade: 9/10
