X-Factor #7 – “Terms of Use”

Published:

The X-Factor is a team made of mutants that test well on social media. However, that can change daily with likes, follows, and shares constantly changing (here’s your reminder to follow Nerd Initiative on all social media platforms for all our amazing content). However, a team held together by follows isn’t one that can always trust each other, or stay consistent.

The Story for Issue 7

Dr. Doom has taken over as Emperor of Earth! To prevent a catastrophe, the corn dog eating man has ordered the X-Factor to head to Gigosha. The island formerly known as Genosha. Fortunately, Angel is back as their leader and as snippy as ever. On the island there is a giant AI algorithm machine. The X-Factor must destroy it before Doom gets his hands on it.

The Art

This comic has all the beauty you want and expect from a Marvel comic. Gorgeous colors, amazing action scenes, and some fantastic details. Since it’s a team of mutants designed for social media, it also has some hilarious reactions from multiple different characters. The uncertainty, fear, and lackadaisical expressions seen on so many faces really ups each scene to get an idea of what’s really (or not really) going on.

Overall Grade: 9/10

If you’re looking for a Marvel comic that’s connected to a bigger marvel universe, but doesn’t take it’s self seriously, while also making fun of a major flaw(s) in our society, AND is still full of action and story… then look no further! X-Factor is for you! It’s not all fun and games, as there is a real story underneath it all. One that has a true mutant feel, but with a Hollywood, social media twist. Which makes it entertaining on multiple levels. Therefore I got to give X-Factor #7 9 out of 10 corndogs.
