A New Killer Emerges

A bus full of kids is driven off a bridge, and then a park becomes a killing field. All of this is done by a new killer, The Murderizer. Meanwhile, the media seeks out Cece’s advice on how to classify this killer, but that only places a target on her. Mark is upset that Lucinda has left him and now wants to know her whereabouts at any cost. This puts Dodson in a tough place, because he needs to keep Cece safe, but can he?

The Past Returns

Every issue of this story seems to up the ante and this issue is no different. Kyle Starks does a great job of building and keeping suspense, all well humanizing the characters, even the killers. The violence and the length that he’s willing to go to for the shock and awe of the reader is what sets his writing apart from others in the genre.

The art as always is incredible and is completely complimentary to the story being told. Patrick Piazzalunga does an excellent job with not only the characters, but also the horrors depicted in every panel. The colors by Marko Brakko convey all the emotions and bring each panel to life.

Final Thoughts

Those Not Afraid #4 escalates the story yet again and reveals some new evils we didn’t even know existed. This is one of those stories that gets better every issue and makes it hard to wait another month for another entry. This is a must buy at the LCS, and is also a must addition to your Pull List.
