The Story for Issue 5

It’s been a week since Danny and his crocodile boots killed a member of the cartel. While the cops are left scratching their heads, the Cartel doesn’t seem to know whether to be confused, angry, or scared. Meanwhile, Danny seems to be becoming more at peace with himself.

The Art

Throughout this 5 issue run the art has consistently been incredibly dark and beautiful. As the crocodile emerges on the pages you see Danny transform. Whether the reader (or Danny) views the crocodile has a literal monster or a metaphor, the art brings about a feeling that helps show the struggle Danny has been facing since the day his little brother got lost, and his family became broken.

Crocodile Black #5 Rating 9/10

All in all, Crocodile Black has been terrifying and mysterious throughout. Danny’s trauma has created a literal monster, and he never knew how to deal with it until he came face to face with a corpse. We can only run from our past for so long. Eventually we have to face it, no matter what stares back at us. While this is the end of the story, it feels as if it’s only the beginning for Danny.
