Story Overview:
A group of astronauts are on their way to a distant planet to discover if there are any life or resources on the uncharted planet. As the crew exits the ship it becomes apparent that this planet is strange. Not only does the air feel the same as Earth, but there is also life on the planet. Strangely, whatever the astronauts imagine seems to actually appear on this planet. We come to find out that this planet is a place that tries to fix beings mentally and give them a utopia to do it in. But can this planet and its inhabitants be trusted?
Writing:
This story is a little slower paced but still packs quite a bit of intrigue. Tom Scioli does a great job of keeping the reader off balance as far as what is actually going on in this strange world. The unique planet setup and rules that it sets up for itself make the reader sit up and take notice. The pacing of the story and a slightly lackluster finish bring the story down a bit. However, it still encapsulates what Twilight Zone is about.
Artwork:
As for the art in this issue, it perfectly matches the vibe of the tv show. Tom Scioli does an incredible job of making the art feel like it is out of the 1950’s. The design of the spaceship and the design of the astronauts is exactly what you would expect someone in the 50’s to think it would look like. Incorporating imaginative and distinctive designs for the life forms on the alien planet results in artwork that is both visually compelling and effective. The art is the biggest standout in this issue and really captures the story.

Final Thoughts
The Twilight Zone #2 is a good story that captures the feel and vibe of the original show. The story has some good suspense, and even though it bogs down a bit, it still feels familiar to the source material. However, the art is the biggest winner in this issue, as it truly stands out and grabs the readers’ attention. If you are a fan of The Twilight Zone this is a must pick up at the LCS.
