The world of Minor Threats continues to grow in this anthology four issue run: Welcome to Twilight. Last issue we met an amazing Miami Vice looking dude with non functioning wings. This issue we come back to Frankie Follis AKA Playtime, and get to meet another piece of her past.

The Story for Welcome to Twilight #2
Frankie has been a big character of Minor Threats since the first 4 issue run of the same name. We then saw her rise to power in Minor Threats The Fastest Way Down. In Welcome to Twilight #2 we kick off with some hilarious dialogue between two Peter Pan lost boys looking characters. This leads to a gruesome introduction to someone from Frankie’s past: Yunni AKA Dokkaebi. Frankie has felt a lot of pain and abandonment in her life, and here we learn that it goes even deeper. Someone who she looked for for years, learns of her new rise to power, and suddenly needs her help.
The Art
Another Minor Threats Comic, another fantastic artist. If you’ve been basking in the glory of the Minor Threats world for awhile, then you’ll enjoy a few familiar faces here. However, with each story the art changes a bit, as does the artist. The art in Welcome to Twilight has a beautiful and fun old school comic feel, while still feeling incredibly detailed. Throw in an amazing action packed fight, and you have another perfectly drawn and colored comic to add to the ever growing collection that is this dark, fun, and hilarious universe, of Minor Threats.
Overall Grade: 8/10
Frankie Follis is one of the most layered and interesting people in this world. The more I learn about her, the more story I want about her. Welcome to Twilight #2 not only gave us another peak behind the curtain, but it looks to be setting up more story for both Playtime and her long lost friend, Yunni. The past they share is clearly not your ordinary run of the mill, ‘we met in college’ kind of past. Their relationship was more than that, and their trauma even more so.
This is me once again, telling anyone who reads my reviews, that you should absolutely, without a doubt, be reading everything that comes out of the world of Minor Threats. Welcome to Twilight so far, as been another fantastic addition. I can’t wait to read issue #3!
