“EVERYTHING GOES TO HELL! Dreams have begun haunting the TVA, and tracing the truth behind it has led the team straight to Hell — literally! Does the Son of Satan have the answers they need? Or perhaps the mysterious stranger following Gwen and Gambit has something to reveal?”

The Story

With half of the team in Hell, and the other half at the TVA, everyone is scrambling to find out what this “madness” is. What the TVA thought was just hallucinations turned out to be so much more, as it makes everyone see their worst fears. While that is terrifying in itself, the strange thing is the victims also see the inside of the TVA. Gwen, Gambit, Jimmy Hudson, and Ingrid have traveled to Hell to find out if anyone there has anything to do with this Madness. Captain Carter, O.B., Mobius, and Hunter B-15 have stayed at the TVA and aren’t any closer to finding out what’s causing all of this chaos.

While in Hell, Gwen and Gambit grow very suspicious, and have an uneasy feeling that something just isn’t right. So, while the other team members are busy, they sneak off to a TVA portal, and who they find on the other side definitely adds some excitement into the mix.

The Writing

TVA #2 is just as fun of a read as TVA #1, with exciting factors being added in. With the new addition, I am really excited to see where this goes with the team. Speaking of the team, I am loving the team’s dynamics and seeing how they work together, especially Gwen and Gambit. I didn’t expect to enjoy their interactions as much as I did, but I can’t wait to see that continue.

Katharyn Blair does a phenomenal job at writing so many different personalities while giving them all a spotlight of their own. Each character feels like they have their time to shine, and no one is watered down. I’m really excited to see what’s next for our new and improved TVA.

The Art

The artwork has been nothing short of exciting throughout TVA #2, and Pere Pérez, Guru-eFX, and Joe Sabino are who to thank for it. The orange tones and eeriness of Hell really sets the tone for how uneasy the team is while being there. Speaking of the team, I adore how each character looks, especially the new addition to the team.

I think the artists of TVA #2 really nailed the multiple tones while elevating the story itself by bringing the story to life.

Overall Grade – 9.3/10
