I Love Tromaville

Melvin is having a flashback to when he first started hanging out with Yvonne. He starts questioning why he never told her he loves her. We jump back into the present where Melvin is battling Bonehead. Bonehead is trying to take Toxie out because he is the “hero” for BUG. As the fight goes on Yvonne tries to take out Lydia with her knife, to no avail. Bonehead gets Toxie into serious trouble and is going to finish him off, until Major returns to help Melvin escape into the sewer.

We then see what Mr. K is up to at the BUG base. He learns from a psychic mutant that Toxie and Major would try to liberate the base in the future. This sets him on a mission to prevent this scenario from happening. Meanwhile, Yvonne meets up with Toxie and Major to start planning their next move. But is it too late for our heroes as Mr. K finally shows his true self.

Live to Fight Another Day

Issue number four picks the story right back up where the previous issue left off. Matt Bors attention to continuity is a big reason this book is moving forward so well. The struggle between our heroes and the bad guys has really picked up. The action sequences are fun and keep you interested. With the big reveal at the end, we are definitely in for one heck of a ride.

The art continues to be solid in this issue, as it has been for the whole series. Fred Harper‘s character design is some of the best in comics. Well, the color pallet Lee Loughridge uses makes the art pop even more. Each panel feels like an adventure of its own. Big bonus for Rob Steen‘s lettering, which conveys the emotion of the story impeccably.
