The Writing:
Joshua Williamson delivers a solid script that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The issue dives deeper into Waller’s true motives and the vital role Green Arrow plays in her scheme, which has been building up throughout the series. The pacing is spot-on, with the action escalating in every panel. Professor Ivo emerges as the wild card, his motives shrouded in mystery, making him the most intriguing character in this issue. Williamson’s writing effectively keeps us guessing whose side Ivo is truly on and what his ultimate goal might mean for the event’s conclusion. The narrative weaves a complex web of intrigue and anticipation that leaves us eager for the next installment.

The Art, Colors and Letters:
Amancay Nahuelpan’s artwork shines in the high-octane aerial battles that dominate this issue. The dynamic fight sequences are a visual feast, capturing the chaotic energy of combat above the skies. Romulo Fajardo Jr.’s colors enhance the tension, particularly in the scenes involving Professor Ivo, where a red palette underscores the imminent danger and adds layers to the character’s sinister presence. The close-ups of Ivo in the plane are particularly striking, heightening the intensity of the moment. A standout artistic choice is the reflection of the heroes in Bright’s mask during critical moments—this detail not only adds depth but also ramps up the excitement and intensity of the battle.
