WOLVERINE Madripoor Knights from Marvel Comics
This comic book run takes place right after the infamous comic book, The Uncanny X-Men #268. To enjoy this current comic, you don’t need to go looking for a comic that is over 30 years old (although it never hurts to do so). Before Issue #1 of WOLVERINE Madripoor Knights kicked off, it catches you right up. Wolverine, Black Widow, Jubilee, and Psylocke made plans to celebrate a recent success in Madripoor. However, it didn’t go as planned. After chaos ensues in issue one, we’re left with what looks to be a very promising team up to kick off issue 2.

The Story for Issue #2
Before this story even kicks off we’re given a quick update on the events of issue 1, and then immediately dropped back onto the island of Madripoor. We last saw Wolverine, Captain America, and Black Widow decide to team up together, and this issue doesn’t take long at all to see them spring into action. With Wolverine (a Madripoor regular with heightened senses) narrating what’s going on, we quickly get some context for the situation. As we then learn the reason behind this all too perfect team up, this trio starts to plan their next step. Only to be interrupted by the most beautifully delivered “whammo.”
Wolverine recognizes the villains behind the “whammo” but not in time to avoid what he knows is coming. As the newly formed and quickly defeated team, lick their wounds, their spirits are anything but crushed. They don’t look much like the team that started the day, but they’re survivalists who don’t back down from a fight.
The Art
The artwork for this has been absolutely beautiful from beginning to end. From the views of Madripoor to a simple SNIKT with Wolverine’s eyes…every panel is perfect Marvel art. These are three of my favorite superheroes and every page just seems to nail their character while perfectly moving the story along.
WOLVERINE Madripoor Knights, Issue #2 Rating: 9.5/10
We get more of Madripoor, along with a team up that is all too perfect. Wolvie, Cap, and Nat are all heroes way out of their time who truly seem to care (even if they might pretend they don’t). Yet each follows a different set of rules. Nevertheless they trust and respect each other. Whether they’re in action or discussing their next move, these three play off each other perfectly. Every Wolverine, Cap, Black Widow, X-Men, Marvel, Superhero, etc. fan should be adding this to their pull list. SNIKT!
