Last seen, Bucky Barnes and Laura Kinney had teamed up for an epic road trip. Hunting down an old foe of Bucky’s while standing up to bullies. These two have proven they’re not just hilarious together, they also make a hell of a team. Now pinned up against Hydra Bots, the duo have to think a bit outside the box.

The Story for Issue 5 of Laura Kinney: WOLVERINE
As Bucky and Laura (AKA The Revolution and Wolverine) face giant Hydra Bots, they find the culprit behind it all. While time may be able to heal many wounds, one it cannot heal is the evilness of hydra mad scientists. Continuing to experiment on mutants, as he did many decades before, Bucky’s old enemy must be stopped. However, two trained assassins trying to do right in the world, have some tough choices to make. As well as some serious ass to kick.
The Art
Every page in this issue was beautiful. Whether it was showcasing evil, justice, or just a funny moment between an old WWII vet and a young mutant. It was done perfectly. One scene in particular caught me off guard, and the art was the perfect compliment to the shock of the story.
I am loving how absolutely fierce Laura looks in any fight she’s in. From the colors, to her form, and even her hair. I can’t say enough about how much I am loving the art in Laura Kinney: WOLVERINE.
Overall Grade: 10/10
Laura Kinney: WOLVERINE #5 was the perfect balance of action, storytelling, humor, and sentiment. I had no idea how much I needed a team up between Bucky and Laura. They perfectly play off each other from their own fastball special to the old man jokes. One scene in particular felt like a moment we’ve seen a million times before, but then it took a turn. An amazing dark turn. Which led to a beautiful moment between a 100+ year old guy, and a very young mutant still figuring out life.
I have to give Laura Kinney: WOLVERINE 10 out of 10 Hydra Bots. From the story to the absolutely gorgeous art. I loved it all. SNIKT!
