The Final Showdown

Galactus is attacked by the Ultra Taro to stop him from advancing to the Land of Light. At the same time Shin Hayata and the Avengers keep piecing their plan to take out Galactus. The heroes get a transmission from the Ultra leader Father of Ultra. He stresses to them the importance of not killing Galactus. The team moves out to make their final stand.

Once the team arrives to intercept Galactus and assist Taro, they discover that Galactus has powered up. They will only have one chance to take him down and it will take all of them. The final battle holds the entirety of the Multiverse in its hands.

Captain Ultraman

Ultraman x Avengers #4 is a great wrap up for this crossover event. Kyle Higgins & Mat Groom really swung for the fences for this finale. Safe to say they crushed it! Not only is the issue befitting of the finale title, but it also delivers on some memorable moments. Possibly non bigger than Ultraman wielding Captain America’s shield.

The art in this issue and across the series was a perfect blend of both properties. The character designs were great and encapsulated the legendary characters flawlessly. The colors are bright and bold, which makes the panels jump off the page.

Final Thoughts

Ultraman x Avengers #4 is a super fun crossover event that also gave us one hell of a story. This issue and series show that when done right crossover events can be successful and lift both properties at the same time. This is definitely a book you need to add to your collection.

Overall Grade: 9/10
