The Rocketfellers #3 – There’s No Time Like the Present

A family hiding in the past (2025), can’t hide the fact they’re still a family. Bills need to be paid, kids need to be raised (with as little trauma as possible), and home is still so far away. The Rocketfellers is part of the Family Odyssey storyline from Ghost Machine. While a family they still are, their past/future is catching up, and they can’t hide forever.

The Story for Issue 3

Last we saw the Rocketfellers they were navigating how to celebrate Christmas in the 21st century. Now as they continue to maintain the most normal family life they can, dad continues his research and his mission to get everyone home. However, his research is creating more questions, and his only connection home isn’t as secret as he thought it might be.

The Art

Every single page is beautifully drawn, colored, and detailed. From the expressions of the Rocketfellers, to the backgrounds in each scene it all comes together perfectly. A highlight for me this issue was a scene where mom is flying a helicopter. The dialogue and the art made it a fantastic scene, and showcased just how badass Rachel Rocketfeller is.

Overall Grade: 9.5/10

I am loving just how much this comic is about the family navigating a time centuries before their own, while still maintaining a sci-fi thriller vibe. You see each family member struggle and adjust to their new timeline, in their own way. With a futuristic spin to each. Yet, they’re all still incredibly relatable. Throw in some cyborgs, time travel, and a mystery about an eye, and this comic just sucks you right in from beginning to end. If you haven’t met the Rocketfellers yet, there is no time like the present. Pun intended.
