The issue starts with the front of the Townsville town hall having a dance floor set up. That means it’s New Year’s Eve. We then see what everyone is getting up to. Meanwhile, the girls are cleaning up their room.
The girls then go and get the door. They find an invitation to the Townsville New Year’s Eve party. As Bubbles goes and tries to find something to wear, Blossom reminds her that they are not leaving until their New Year’s resolutions are made. They then proceed to go back to doing their chores.
Blossom then says they are not eating junk food anymore. She recommends raisins as they are “Nature’s Candy.” Bubbles grabbed the raisins, and she and Buttercup went and watched TV. Blossom then mentions they will only be watching documentaries from now on.
Buttercup and Blossom then get into a tussle. The girls then find a compromise and head to the New Year’s party. We then see the party, and it is a fun time. The countdown to the new year almost finishes when The Boogie Man shows up.
He then sets the enchantment on the ball off, and everyone starts dancing. The girls go into action and try their hardest to beat The Boogie Man. After many attempts, Buttercup comes up with an idea.
Buttercup and The Boogie Man start dancing together. The other girls eventually join in, and this is where it gets interesting. Bubbles used her laser eyes to melt the disco shards to end the spell. The issue ends with the girls deciding not to make any more resolutions.
Overall Grade: 10/10
Amanda Deibert kicks off her stay in Townsville in commanding fashion. She created such an amazing story. This is another fantastic story for this comic series.
