DON’T MISS THE TOP 10!

The Art:

This issue kicks off in a trippy and psychedelic way as a heart-pounding chase sequence, which is wonderfully crafted by Matteo and beautifully colored in a bright manner by Triona. This is a fun and bright take on Gotham as we return with our Sirens. Hassan showcases his expertise in letters in crafty ways using the elements around the panels. All in all the characters are a delight to see return to the pages and this first issue holds nothing back in terms of action.

The Writing:

Leah has found a refreshing villain to introduce into this story, playing into the modern-day obsession with online gaming streaming.

Seeing a clever and mysterious villain whose plot is yet to be told sucked me into the story right away. Having Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, and Catwoman back together feels right and Leah captures the spirit kicking off this series.

Overall:

Gotham City Sirens #1 brings us back into the kick-ass world of our Sirens, holding nothing back. It has heart-pounding action, beautiful eye-grabbing art, and a cliffhanger, leaving us needing more. You had my curiosity but, now you have my attention DC.
