Daredevil, the blind lawyer by day and the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen by night, has faced numerous deadly enemies throughout his career. But who was his first solo villain?
Many may assume it was someone like Kingpin or the Fixer, but they would be mistaken. The first villain exclusive to Daredevil was Owl, an organized crime boss with super sight and hearing abilities, among other owl-like features.

Owl made his debut in Daredevil #3 back in 1964, and though he has pestered the likes of Spider-Man, Kingpin, and Doc Ock, it was Daredevil who first had to contend with him.
Owl’s criminal activities included organized crime and a talent for money laundering He was known to be quite the nuisance for Daredevil among many others.
