Man is More of a Threat

The Colonel has now revealed his plan to steal Captain Coffin’s ship and maroon Coffin and his men on this cursed Island. When Lieutenant Montague won’t go along with his plan, he has him shackled and thrown into the cellar. His plan will not be hampered, and he will get what he wants at all costs.

At the same time Captain Coffin rallies his men as they continue to try and figure out what they are hunting. As two of the wolves that they thought were dead, come back to life and start killing people, they are forced to realize these things aren’t natural. When the Colonel makes his move on the captain, they finally witness a transformation, solidifying that they are dealing with Werewolves. But, when they discover the den, that’s where the story really takes a turn.

Werewolves in Plain Sight

The Lycan #4 builds the suspense of the story to a fever pitch. Mike Carey finally gives us the reveal we’ve been clamoring for, and then immediately ups the ante. At the same time Carey shows that the humans in this world are as evil as the wolves, and just as dangerous. The layers that have played out in this story have the reader begging for the conclusion.

The art in this issue is fantastic and really captures the world we are in. Diego Yapur brings the violence to life in the action panels, well also captivating the reader with great character designs. DC Alonso matches the art perfectly with the color selections, and makes every panel stand out.
