Moonshine Bigfoot is One Wild Ride!
Where are all of my Dukes of Hazzard fans at?! I can’t see any of you, but I really hope I’m not the only person holding his hand up. Moonshine Bigfoot borrows a lot from the Duke boys in terms of characters and setting. I know he’s rocking a Mustang instead of a Charger, but that doesn’t change how cool it is!
EXCLUSIVE LOOK – ROBOWOLF #1
We catch Moonshine and his best gal in the middle of a run from the Sheriff of Buzzard County, Georgia himself, Justice P. Worrell. Yes you read all of those words correctly. It doesn’t take long before a team of Bigfoot hunters intervene looking to catch Moonshine themselves! If that wasn’t enough trouble, Moonshine’s rival named Crank Torquelson wants a piece of the action as well!
It’s a hectic chase through the dirt roads of Buzzard County all while Moonshine and his girlfriend Amethyst enjoy small talk and decide what to have for dinner! That’s until some high tech commandos in disguise begin tracking the situation and decide to involve themselves. Just when they all think they’ve got Moonshine cornered he makes a fantastical escape off of a mangled bridge that defies the science of Physics! I know that’s a lot, but it only gets crazier from there and you’ll just have to read it for yourself!
The Whimsical and Stylized Art of Moonshine Bigfoot
As wild and out of this world as the story is, the artwork perfectly compliments it. There’s a charm to the madness that Steve Ellis, Zach Howard, and Nelson Daniel captures. There’s a cartoonish nature to it all that definitely fits the vibe. This story is fantastical with a little hint at something darker and the art brings that energy.
Overall Grade: 8.5/10
Moonshine Bigfoot sets the pace for the story to come. There’s plenty of action and a ton of laughs along the way. Characters are larger than life and over the top. I hate to say it but the only thing that stumped me here was the pacing. There’s a lot of exposition that has some high octane scenes spinning wheels in the mud. However the premise is great and my intrigue still has me high on what’s next.
