Frankenstein #4:

It’s the showdown between Dr. Frankenstein and his beloved monster, loose in the village. Who is the monster in the end, and is death inevitable?

The Writing:

Often, the landing can be the hardest part to stick, and Michael sticks the landing. He crafts an ending that is full of emotion and invokes questions as this tale comes to an end.

VOTE IN THIS YEARS CHEERSIES!

There are scenes where the audience feels for the monster who never asked to have a life and a Doctor who lost someone but, may have also lost his way. This story makes us think and that is a testament to great writing.

The Art:

Both Toni and Michael deliver an artistic performance that helps make this finale grand. The monster is crafted with so much emotion on his face despite not having any words.

There is a beautiful sequence where he is showing joy with a little girl picking flowers that turns drastically tragic. There is a lot of emotion in every panel and every character and you can even feel the weight drawn on the young boy’s shoulders. The final page is inspiring as despite this being a tragic tale, it does not end of a sad note.

Overall:

Frankenstein #4 is the grand finale in yet another addition to the Monster-verse that Image and Skybound have created. This ending is full of tear-jerking emotion, hope, and leaves us thinking even after the book has closed which is a testament to a truly incredible story.
