No matter how far into the future we go, it is still a billionaire’s world that we all live within. The remaining fighters are reeling from the surprise attack the Yautja sprung on them, while the organizer of the fight sees nothing but profits from the new entrant.

SPOILERS AHEAD
Jordan has a deep appreciation for the lore that has been building for decades in the Yautja universe. We get a nod to the 80’s when discussing how they come to Earth searching for the perfect hunt. I’m a sucker for call-backs and world-building, and so when we get these types of moments, it endears me to this run. The old saying the enemy of my enemy is my friend may never truly die, either as the organizer of this fight, of course, plays things off as though it was a surprise entrant. Something’s in life may never change, especially when it comes to idiots with deep pockets. I do love how we get more character building and get to know these fighters a little more as an unlikely team-up builds on the horizon.
The Art and Letters:
This issue is more narratively driven this time around, as there is space to take a breath; however, that does not stop the art team from bringing us impressive visuals. The panels where the Yautja is stuck, facing off against holograms, were a clever play into their vision, which relies on heat. The way we get these first-person glimpses allows us to make the world feel a bit bigger and craft the Yautja as its own character. The action beats still land heavily, with moments of strength and detail displayed when called for it as well.
Final Thoughts:
Predator Bloodshed #2 builds this world out a little bit more, creating three sides that are destined to clash in the near future. It feels like a classic 80’s action movie, all building to an epic ending.
