Raymond’s art in this issue is amazing. It’s bloody, violent, and so perfectly captures what Jackie is going through right now. He captures what is happening and makes it flow perfectly with the story. Tack on both Arif’s coloring and Troy’s lettering, and this book is fantastic.
Mark’s writing on this issue is second to none. He has captured what made the original series so fantastic, and took that to new levels with this series. Every character is so complex with their own issues and layers, and Mark writes it all so well. This is one of his best series to date.
Now, this issue sees Jackie having revenge on his mind. He has already mastered how to use his new powers, and now he has the Russian mob in his sights. We also see Jenny’s new bodyguards in the Brotherhood of the Darkness. Now everything comes to a head in a brutal fight.
Overall Grade: 10/10
I love it when a great issue has a beautiful and brutal fight moment. This had that and so much more. Mark and the team are really telling an incredible story, and I cannot wait to see where this goes from here.
