The Story:
Stephanie has built a world in which I would give anything to live. Capturing the pure essence and heart of the beloved sharks and their team, I am continuing to love how they are slowly finding their way in this new world of theirs and building themselves into heroes for the city. While the issues are episodic, much like a Saturday morning cartoon, there is still an overarching story that she manages to tie in with Dr. Paradigm. Never has a trip to the circus been so much fun!
The Art and Letters:
The artwork by Ariel and Valentina pops from panel to panel. The swiftness and usage of space they manage to work with, and at the same time not sacrificing the size and strength of the sharks, is magnificent. There is so much life and detail with the action and background as they use the tools around them, turning them into carnage as Dr. Paradigm must be stopped. The addition of the circus characters added a lot of fun and imagination to this issue making me need the next issue now!
Final Thoughts:
Street Sharks #2 is bursting with heart, action, and serious butt-kicking! The team is navigating their way through this new life while saving their city and working to stop Dr. Paradigm. Stephanie, Valentina, Ariel, and Jeff keep this classic fun, captivating, and make this run so much fun!
Overall Grade: 9.5/10
