We Aren’t in Kansas Anymore

After saving the twins, the Wanderer discovers that they have wandered a little too far into the Deadzone. But he is drained, and his powers have left him, which makes him quite a bit smaller. As the twins point out the danger they are possibly in, the Wanderer wants to know who they exactly are. The twins reveal that they come from the Church of Godzilla, and they are what they call the Anti-Messiahs, who will bring about the new age when they merge with Godzilla. However, before the Wanderer can explore that further, they get attacked by a Kaiju. In his weakened state he still tries to fight, but it is the twins who will expose who they truly are and save the Wanderer.

Doomsday Twins

Godzilla: Escape the Deadzone #3 adds some new wrinkles into this already exhilarating tale. Ethan Parker & Griffin Sheridan do an awesome job of revealing more about the twins, including that they are not as weak as we all thought they were. They also do a great job of showing the Wanderer’s father like qualities, giving the character a lot of heart. Moving forward there are still some mysteries and answers to sort out, but the story is moving at a very good pace.

The art in this book is wonderful and really brings the Deadzone to life. Pablo Tunica does an awesome job of bringing the Deadzone to life. The character designs in this book are super cool and give this world a unique feeling. The action scenes are stunning and leave little to the imagination. The colors make every panel pop and Nathan Widick does a fantastic job bringing out emotions with the lettering.
