Godzilla Attacks
The morning commute in Atlanta runs into a bit of a snag, as Godzilla breaks through the ground and levels some of the city. Meanwhile, The G-Force team is fighting monsters of their own, as alongside the pirates they are fighting the Kai-Sei energy sucking leaches. Upon their victory, they learn of the attack on Atlanta, and that the leaches they had been fighting were not organic, yet they were synthetic. So now the team is split in two, with the captain leading part of the team to find out who and where the leaches were made, and to get ahold of some to use against Godzilla. Well Rumi tries to figure out ways to use Jacen’s powers to counteract Godzilla.
A Race to a Solution
Godzilla #3 not only focuses on the battle against the Kaiju but also shows the differences in opinions in how humanity should handle these monsters. Tim Seeley does an excellent job of showing different philosophies and not judging which one is better than the other, allowing the reader to choose for themselves. The action is solid, but the human drama and build in tension is the real winner of the story in this issue. Seeley is painting a beautiful world with the story and an entertaining one with the action.
The art in this issue is awesome and really brings this world to life. Nikola Čižmešija does a phenomenal job with the character and monster design. Čižmešija also does a fantastic job with the backgrounds and settings of the story, which really brings the world to life. The rest of the art team compliments Čižmešija’s art impeccably with the colors and lettering.

Final Thoughts
Godzilla #3 is another great entry in this budding Kai-Sei Era, which really starts to turn up the heat. The action is fantastic, but the internal struggle of our team is the real focus. Building relationships all while building up the credibility of the Kaiju threat really sets this title apart from other books in the genre. If you are not already reading Godzilla, this is the time to grab a copy at the LCS and sit back and enjoy.
Overall Grade: 9/10
