Left For Dead
The team of ThunderCats arrived on their hopeful new home world Third Earth, but the joy of a new home was short lived. Bengali and his team were attacked, and most were wiped out by forces from this new world. Bengali was able to escape, but he is on his own. He starts to look for other survivors from other teams, as well as the Book of Omens. As he wanders this new world he encounters threats, as well as dangerous terrain. The only thing that drives him is his love for Cheetara, but will that be enough?
Two Stories Connected
This is a great crossover issue, connecting what is going on in ThunderCats: Lost as well as the main ThunderCats series. Ed Brisson does a fantastic job of telling the tale of Bengali and his survival on Third Earth. Catching the readers of both lines up on what happened in between where we are today and even including tying in ThunderCats: Apex. Bringing the worlds together really makes the story make more and complete sense.
The art in this issue is very good and really captures a 1980’s feeling. Dave Acosta uses an art style that reminds the reader of G.I Joe comics and cartoons from the 1980’s. This art style really brings the nostalgia to this franchise from the same era. Roshan Kurichiyanil matches the art perfectly with the color choices.
