The Lady Has Arrived
It’s getting later in the night, and the blood is running all throughout the town. The cleaner for the game has his hands full trying to scrub the scenes of the crimes. Well cleaning up he realizes that a very clever player has set traps for the other killers. Upon discovering the culprit, we learn that there are more rules to this game than we thought.
Meanwhile, Lady Carolina has made her way to Big Bruce Auto Sales to procure her provisions that have been stashed there. Bruce and Audrey are trying to sell an expensive car to her, but instead she picks a real junker, which unbeknownst to the salespeople has here “toys” in the trunk. As Bruce opens the trunk for her, a trap goes off, injuring Bruce severely. Obviously, this trap was meant for the Lady, but the Fox got out foxed by Carolina. It’s then that the fight breaks out between the killers.
Give Bruce a Hand
Issue four once again delivers one hell of an action-packed thrill ride. Che Grayson steps in and really hits the reader with some suspense, mystery, and of course carnage. The connection between the Lady and the Fox lends itself to something bigger. At the same time showing some behind the scenes stuff with the cleaner really brings yet another aspect to the game. The violence is also turned up and you get the sense that this town is on the brink of collapse.
The art in this issue is amazing and really captures the essence of the story. Adam Gorham really owns the characters in this issue. The attention to detail is impeccable, well the violence and gore are dialed up a bit making all slasher fans rejoice. As good as Gorham’s art is, Jordie Bellaire matches the energy with his colors. Vibrant and complimentary to the work on the page makes all the difference.
