The UnChosen Artwork
The artwork is great. It balances perfectly on the edge of cartoon and realistic. Marquez’s work from Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man shines through. It’s fun and fantastical, while still staying grounded and full of emotion. The magic effects are amazing and the action and scale of the environment is breathtaking. Marquez knows how to frame a great shot.
Colors and letters from Marissa Louise and DC Hopkins finish off a great book with a nice touch. From lighting to tone each panel and page keep you enamored and immersed in the environment. The tone is heightened. The action is enhanced. They really are key pieces of the structure.

David Marquez impresses with writing great characters and moving them in a grand story. It’s even more impressive that he’s drawing it all as well.
