Prisoner on the Run
Prisoner X is on the move through Metro 1, slaying all the forces that try and stop him. Akeldama is hot on his trail and even has the drop on him. But when Prisoner X finally turns his attention towards Akeldama, he lets her know that he knows she is not human and just lets her be. Even though she thinks this is odd and should just count her blessings the monster let her be, she can’t as she continues to chase the prisoner through the levels.
The chase goes through multiple levels of Metro 1, with Prisoner X leaving nothing but carnage in his wake. The whole time Blood & Thunder are in hot pursuit. Just as Akeldama looks like she has a chance to get Prisoner X, he gets away and leaves Metro 1. Knowing that this means bad news for wherever he is going next, Blood & Thunder leave Metro 1 in hot pursuit.
Chase Through the Universe
The third issue is one hell of a cat and mouse chase throughout Metro 1. A lot of carnage, action, and suspense are delivered in this issue. Benito Cereno delivers another compelling issue as the mystery deepens, and the action continues to ramp up. The threat of what the monstrous Prisoner X is capable of is only overshadowed by the mysterious motives that drive his carnage. The layers in this story are awesome and keep us coming back for more.
The art in this issue is phenomenal and keeps upping the ante. E.J. Su does an awesome job of bringing this alien world to life, well also creating beautiful character designs. His eye for detail makes the reader scan every panel for anything they may have missed on the way. The colors that Msassyk uses make the art pop and bring the world more to life.
