Back in the Days

After a long day of bounty hunting, Akeldama aka Blood settles into her apartment for food and relaxation. She also must feed Thunder, to which we find out a little more about this AI gun. As they both “eat” Blood asks Thunder to tell her stories about her father. As we learn more about where Blood comes from and her past.

However, their trip down memory lane would be cut short as the Chief is calling all hands-on deck as the prisoner from Cell Block X has escaped. The Exo escaped prisoner is wreaking havoc on the top tier of Metro 1 sending everyone into a panic. As the carnage begins to build, who will be able to stop the rampage?

Terrorizing a City

This issue has some really good back story which lets the reader into Blood’s world and life a little more. Benito Cereno is crafting a very heartfelt story while at the same time bringing a lot of action and carnage along the way. Knowing that there is more to the story helps build the anticipation for the issues to come.

The art in this issue is cool, vibrant, and really makes the world of Metro 1 come to life. E.J. Su does a phenomenal job of creating this world and all the unique characters in it. Msassyk does a great job using colors that are vibrant and make the world feel alien and unique. The art team on this book does an amazing job.

Final Thoughts

Blood & Thunder #2 is a wonderful follow up to issue one. Filling in some backstory well at the same time delivering an action-packed struggle really sets this issue apart. This should be a no brainer pick up at the LCS this week, and if this isn’t already on your Pull list add it ASAP.

Final Grade: 9.5/10
