Publisher: MARVEL
The Art:
What can I say about a comic solely about the heroic animals of the Marvel Universe – OF COURSE IT’S ADORABLE!
Fuji is able to bring to life (with very little dialogue) an adorable and yet exciting comic where the Universe hangs in the balance and only Man and Women’s Best Friends will do.
With very little dialogue, the art is absolutely crucial to help the story along, no matter how exciting or how silly or how cute.
Without solid art to tell the story, this issue simply wouldn’t work.

The Writing:
Loo had a tough and yet easy assignment here. Let me explain. There is so little conversation to work with here, you’d assume this would be a dream assignment. It’s animals saving the world and having a blast while doing it.
BUT when there is dialogue, you have to make it count and you have to make the words impactful. Loo does that in stride here. Every time Rocket or Cosmo opens their mouths, it matters to the story.
This is a fun one, but could have easily gone off the rails if Loo didn’t do what he does best!
Overall Grade: 8/10
There’s an editor’s note midway through the book telling the reader to just sit back and enjoy the cuteness and that’s exactly the point! This is a FUN issue, meant to be cute, silly and an escape from the seriousness of life and comics.
If you’re trying to get your kids into comics, this is the book for you!
