VR Troopers #1- The Troopers Are Here To Save The Day

The VR Troopers are here. Writer Mairghread Scott, Artist Sebastian Piriz, Colorist JP Jordan, and Letterer Taylor Esposito made a powerful first issue. 

The issue starts with team leader Ryan. We get to see what his morning routine is like. We then see him morph into his suit and go after someone in the Water and Power building in Angel Grove. He follows the person, and they get away pretty quickly. 

Ryan then calls it in to the rest of the team, and before they can get there, the person in question goes and attacks him. This entire fight sequence is so interesting to see. We then see Ryan hand over his Virtualizer, and before the enemy can morph, the rest of the team shows up. 

The enemy gets away, and we then see Ryan and Co. back in their HQ. Now, Ryan, J.B., and Kaitlin are filling in Zarysh on what happened. After the debrief, Ryan heads back to his room to decompress. While that is happening, J.B. and Kaitlin are talking about what happened. The final scene shows Ryan in his room, wondering why information is being hidden from him. 

Final Grade: 10/10 

One issue down, and this story is amazing. Getting to see these characters I’m used to seeing in Power Rangers Prime getting a solo series is so refreshing. These next 5 issues are going to be fun and interesting to read.
