Power Rangers Prime #7- Underground, Zord Reveal & Partying

The team is getting their first Zord. Writer Melissa Flores, Artist Michael yg, Colorist Fabi Marques, and Letterer Ed Dukeshire have delivered another fantastic issue.

We kick off with a flashback to 6 Months Ago. Orion and Mark are down in the robotics lab in the museum, and they are working on something. A small explosion happens, and then we see a tiny T-Rex Zord. We then cut to the Orion, Lauren, and Co. under the city fighting creatures. 

Meanwhile, Jun and Valentina are at an event together. We see Valentina’s dad, the Mayor, and Jun’s mom. Both of them get pulled aside by their parents, and we see 2 separate conversations about how the Eltarians and Humans are not at all alike. 

While this is happening, the others are still trying to take on the creature. We then proceed to see that Orion is not going to hurn the kids in the sewer, much to the dismay of Rita. They then get into a conversation with someone else who is down there as well. 

The comic then cuts back to Valentina, and her and Ryan are getting into a conversation. While this is happening, Jun is trying to call Mark, and he’s not answering. Jun then see Ryan and Valentina talking, and the conversation is interesting. 

We then cut back to the underground team, and they are working on finding a way out of there. They find an area that Rita has been to before, and Lauren finds her dad’s old morpher. Back at The Embassy, Val and Ryan kiss, and then are interrupted by Jun. The underground team then gets a call from Jun, and he tells them to meet up with him. The final scene shows what looks like a teleportation machine. 

Overall Grade: 10/10 

This issue has so much to offer, and it really moves the story along. But the inclusion of the Zord that Orion and Mark made was perfect for this issue as well. It’s going to be exciting to see where next issue goes from here.
