First Blood
Now that the first killer has fallen, the families take to trash talking each other. As the current family in the lead looks upon this as just the beginning, the others are already plotting against her. Meanwhile, a local gas station attendant gets terrorized by a box cutter wielding killer. This killer claims a life brutally before turning his sights on the attendant. But an unlikely hero steps in and saves his life.
Elsewhere, the paramedics arrive at the first murder scene and are approached by a weird nurse. The paramedics are leery of this nurse, and for good reason. Xavi is trying to find Craig after his initial run in with the killers. But Craig and Jason are out Trick or Treating and bump into a strange kid that they don’t recognize.
The Plot Thickens
This second issue picks up where the first left off. We get to see the aftermath of the first killer being taken out from the perspective of the elite. At the same time the suspense builds as the other killers close in on the town, and how the townspeople react as they become aware something strange is afoot. Michael Walsh picks up the story flawlessly and really delivers some great action and even better storytelling.
The art in this issue is really cool and is very reminiscent of older horror comic book designs. Marianna Ignazzi does a fantastic job of bringing this world to life and creating some brutal visuals. Additionally, Jordie Bellaire makes every panel pop with their color choices.
