As Mikey fights his way through the precinct causing absolute carnage, he runs into Raph. After being overwhelmed and not finding Donnie, the two retreat home. It is there that they learn that Leo has started to talk to the dead rat carcass that Donnie had been talking to. After a spat Michaelangelo storms off, as Raph hears the voice too.

We then discover that Donatello is being held at the Bronx Zoo. D.A Hale is gloating about Donnie’s capture, until Donnie starts telling him all his insecurities. Will the other turtles join him, and can they put their differences aside to save Donatello?

On a Mission from a Rat

This issue is jam-packed with some awesome action with a focus still placed on the turtles’ internal struggles. Jason Aaron is doing a masterful job of creating this dark and gritty world that our heroes find themselves in. The action beats in this issue are next level and really bring a great deal of excitement to this issue.

The art in this issue is fantastic and really draws your eyes into every panel. Juan Ferreyra does a spectacular job on the character and set designs in this issue. But the real star is his depiction of all the action scenes in the book. The fights have some gore mixed in with some really fun and unique elements which really allow Juan to flex his artistic muscles.
