Brothers Divided
As Leonardo tries to hold the brothers together as NYC is now treating them as villains. He faces a bigger challenge battling his own mind, but worse than that dealing with a very broken Donatello. Donnie is communicating with a Master Splinter that is no longer with them. This comes to a head with a fight between the two. After the fight, Donnie goes missing and Leo discovers that maybe Donnie isn’t that crazy.
Emotional Damage
This issue is a very emotionally dark piece of art. The tone of a helpless situation, well coming to terms with loss, all well battling inner demons plays out great. Jason Aaron shows that he has no fear of getting dark and dealing with emotional situations in the world of TMNT.
The art in this issue is awesome. The character designs are stunning, and the backgrounds are just as good. Juan Ferreyra really shines with this subject matter, as his art and colors match the dark emotional tone of the story impeccably.
