Like Cats to the Slaughter
After being saved from a run in with Scorpius, Pumyra is thanking the stranger that helped them. Their walk is suddenly interrupted when cloaked figures ambush them. The stranger then puts a knife to Pumyra’s throat and uses her to try and get the Thunderians to surrender. This doesn’t work, but the poisonous darts that render them unconscious definitely do. Ligon puts up the biggest fight and takes the most darts before subduing to the poison.
Elsewhere, Scorpius and his men are trying to track down the Thunderians. But the Thunderians have way bigger problems. They wake up and are tied down to tables and we discover the cloaked individuals are a cult called Children of the Enchanted Dawn. Also, this is not the first group of Thunderians they have encountered.
Religious Zealots with Crazy Ideals
This issue puts our main characters in some precarious situations. Ed Brisson does an excellent job of building up the situation and then raising the stakes even more. As our heroes go from one bad situation to the next, we get a better feel for who they are, and what they stand for. The crazy story plays out damn near perfectly and has the reader on the edge of their seat by the end.
The art in this book looks amazing. Rapha Lobosco does a great job taking inspiration from the main line Thundercats story, well at the same time designing unique and original characters. The colors match the story and characters perfectly and that is completely to the credit of Roshan Kurichiyanil. The whole art team deserves a giant pat on the back.

Final Thoughts
ThunderCats: Lost #3 does an excellent job of building stakes and really leaving the reader on the edge of their seat. This story is heating up and it puts the Thunderians in way more dangerous situations than we are accustomed too. This book is a great pick up at the LCS and should be a serious consideration for your Pull List.
