The Story for X-Factor #9
With Doom slowly taking over via mind control chips (which X-Factor failed to destroy), things are a bit more serious that they seem on the socials. However, with X-Factor on a mission, some other members are still hell bent on stopping the world from becoming an endless supply of Doombots. So a second secret mission is planned at the same time. One involving singing to “At the Copa, Copacabana…” However, fighting two battles on opposite sides of the world, doesn’t exactly follow everyone’s plan.

The Art
From the cell phones, to the action scenes, to the pure joy on Granny’s face. I absolutely loved the art throughout this issue. X-Factor is such a good combination of action and comedy, and the art does a beautiful job shifting the feeling of each scene. All while showing the shock and evilness so perfectly on each person’s face.
Overall Grade: 9.5/10
X-Factor just keeps surprising me with its ability to make me laugh aloud multiple times, all while telling an amazing story. A story which now involves Doom, yet still has me giggling at an old lady on a “brisk walk.” Then they’ll just throw a curve ball with an absolutely beautiful moment. Only to make me laugh again in a where the hell did that come from sort of way.
If there was ever a Marvel comic that people are sleeping on, it’s X-Factor. Every issue I’m amazed at just how well the story is told, and how entertaining it is throughout. If I had three hands, I would absolutely be cheering for this comic (a reference only understood once reading this issue). I honestly just cannot get over how absolutely fun this comic is to read. Therefore I got to give X-Factor #9 9.5 Doombots out of 10.
