The Story for Issue 4
WOLVERINE Revenge issues 1-3 were all about just that, revenge. Issue 4 kicks off 20 years into the future. While revenge no longer seems to be Logan’s primary motivation, he’s still holding onto the past. All while the past unexpectedly catches up with him. While things may still seem simple enough, something bigger waits for him in the shadow. A past he may not as easily be able to face. Physically and emotionally.
The Art
From beginning to end the art was absolutely gorgeous. From Logan enjoying a view, to doing what he does best, every page was beautifully colored, detailed, and action packed. All the while, you can still see the pain in his eyes. Over a century of pain, painted clearly on his face. From SNIKTS, to AAIIIEE!!! and everything in between, the art in this issue was the best at what it does.
Overall Grade 8.5/10
This run started with a Wolverine at peace. Four issues and more than twenty years later, and Logan still holds onto revenge. With an older Logan, and a new present, WOLVERINE Revenge still delivers a classic Wolverine story with twists and turns. No matter the age, or the enemy, he’ll always be the best at what he does. This is a comic every Wolvie fan needs to add to their collection. SNIKT!
