We Must Avoid the Light
Captain Masha Alekseev is in command of the S-353 Whiskey Class Submarine, that is running a covert mission for Russia. They have strict orders to not surface under any circumstances, so they can ensure they have a successful mission delivering the cargo to the Motherland. If that mission isn’t daunting enough, there is a KGB agent on board as well. Comrade Volkov is not very personable and definitely is hiding something.
As the sub dodges charges from an unknown source, Volkov reveals to Captain Alekseev his secret mission. The mission is to deliver a CPU to the Russian government at all costs. As the tension builds, a crewman ends up killing Volkov. As the crew tries to subdue the rogue crewman, the crewman is revealed to be a Terminator. Will the Russian crew survive this ominous twist of fate?
Your Fate is Set
The Terminator #4 has a Hunt for Red October feel to it. The story itself is full of twists and turns. Declan Shalvey has been hitting his stride with this series mix between the world of Terminator and real historical time frames. The only hold back for this issue is it feels a little slow at times and drags a little.
The art in this issue looks fantastic. The claustrophobia of the submarine is really brought to life, along with the isolation of being at sea. The design of the Terminator is cool and shows off some great detail. The colors match the mood and the atmosphere of the story.

Final Thoughts
The Terminator #4 has an intriguing story that is based in an alternate reality. For fans of the franchise this issue shows something different from the series that we are used to. As a standalone issue this is a fun read. As far as the series is concerned the only thing that needs to be more apparent is the connection between issues, other than just the Terminator.
Final Grade: 7.5/10
