BLOOD HUNT #4 by Jed MacKay, Pepe Larraz, Marte Gracia and Cory Petit (Marvel Entertainment) forges an unlikely alliance.
Let’s take a closer look at how things shape up!

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Mackay shows the wear of the losing battle on Dr. strange and Clea. Seeing how they ask for help from a sinister source proves the gravity of the fight. Seeing the tricks already being set in motion will have fans attention. The price for teamwork is a steep cost. Nothing of this event is easy. Everything pays a toll.
The reveal of the true mastermind is well placed. It plays superbly into the vampire mythos of the true MCU. Readers will be locked in to where MacKay leads the mastermind into the close. With events swirling around, there is no time left. The closing pages have been put in motion. The writing has staged new players. They have entered the field. There is no turning back from here. Only one will win.

Larraz and Gracia give the surprise partnership a bold start. A full page spread sets a tense feel. Knowing Strange has no leverage, the major player is pulling the strings. The art reflects the arrogance involved. It also greets readers with his frst ace up the sleeve. Readers will be caught off guard as much as Strange’s reaction to the proposal of services.
The art adds a sense to drama to the reveal of the mastermind behind the horror. With a near full page, the moment carries a defiant aura. This leads into the beginning of the final act.
With the heroes initial strike of redemption, the art captures the sense of victory slipping away. It is also complimented with a dramatic return of a fan-favorite. This rolls into the tide turning with full page images. Once that last page hits, the art team has set things off for a brutal last stand.

Secrets are revealed and unlikely bonds are forged. MacKay sets up the pen-ultimate chapter with solid writing. Fans get big moments throughout the issue. The art brings out the prestige of these events. Once the last page hits, readers know they’re in for a grand finale for the ages.
