The Story and Writing

Megan – The battle of Marc, AKA Moon Knight, the Scarlet Scarab, The Executor, The Wrecker along with all the ghosts of his past is in full swing! When Layla, AKA the Scarlet Scarab, and Marc go their separate ways in the fight, Marc gives Layla a message to pass to Reese, that he’s getting Ginnarr. Layla, who has absolutely no idea what this means, passes it on to Reese, while taking on The Executor herself. The Executor, who is absolutely positive he’s doing the right thing for the ghosts wellbeing, is more than happy to fight Layla. However, what he didn’t expect was to have his views completely change in an instant.

If there’s one thing Jed MacKay has taught us in Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu, it’s to expect the unexpected. Around nearly every turn, there’s something unexpected that changes the whole trajectory of the story. There’s a couple of those instances in Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #15 that were expertly written by MacKay. Along with that, there’s excellent fighting panels, superb dialogue, especially from Layla, and energy at an all-time high.

Janelle – In this issue, Moon Knight #15, there is already a fight going on between the Wrecker, the Scarab and Reese. Of course, Marc a.k.a. Moon Knight, also showed up after all the dust settled. Most of the conversation among this issue was about ghosts. It seems that Layla a.k.a. the Scarab, is the main focus of this issue. Layla talks to Reese about what has been happening with those ghosts.

Overall the story starts strong, with everyone arguing and fighting each other. Most of the Moon knight issues, there is a lot of fighting going on. I really like how Layla takes control, and also likes to call everyone out during this fight. In my opinion, the wrecker kind of annoys me, because he takes a lot of the fighting as a joke.

The Art

Don’t forget to vote for your favorite comic book of the year in The Cheersies 2025 here!

Megan – The artists continue to impress with the striking artwork of Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #15. In this issue, there’s a more mystical tone to the comic, which the artists nailed. With the more abstract backgrounds contrasting the beautifully detailed characters, it feels like the artwork can just pop off the page. Complimenting the drawings is the excellently colored panels that make each page its own masterpiece. Looking at the cover photo is a great example of the excellent work that’s inside the comic, so you could say the comic is gorgeous, inside and out.

Janelle – Domenico continues to do a great job on the art. I love how all the action sequences, are beautifully displayed in each comic panel. I love the detail of Layla’s hair, to even Moon Knight’s suit. I continue and looking forward to seeing the art. Rosenberg also does a very good job as well, with the coloring of comic panels. I’m really excited to see more of both of their talents, when it comes to the art in this Moon Knight run.

Final Thoughts

Megan – 9.6/10 Jed MacKay continues the action-packed roller coaster ride of Moon Knight! Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #15 is exciting, keeps you on the edge of your seat, and is full of gorgeous artwork that makes it hard to take your eyes off the pages.

Janelle – 9.4/10  I have continued to look forward to reading Moon Knight. I can’t wait to see where everyone lands in terms of the next issue.

Overall Grade – 9.5/10
