The Story

When Moon Knight agreed to help The Wrecker, he took on much more than he could bargain for. With the ghosts tormenting The Wrecker, Moon Knight did whatever he could, including seeking out Doctor Strange for help. However, Strange wasn’t available, but fortunately Clea was and she liked Moon Knight a lot more than her sorcerer husband. Giving them the power to be able to see through a magician’s eyes, Moon Knight and the Scarlet Scarab find exactly where they’re supposed to go. That leads them to the person pulling all the strings, The Executor.

A bitter and angry vigilante who says he gives a voice to the voiceless, meaning dead people, The Executor has his sights set on The Wrecker, and is willing to take out anyone that gets in his way. That includes Layla and Marc, who are about to get a haunting visit from their past.

Another spectacular addition to this spooky story but the hands of Jed MacKay! It’s a real treat to see Marc and Layla working side by side again, and it makes me want so much more of them. Alongside Marc and Layla, we also get a new villain who’s nothing if not headstrong. I really look forward to seeing where MacKay takes this villain.

The Art

The artwork of Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #14 hits all the right notes to make this a visually pleasing comic that gives you the perfect dark vibes. Domenico Carbone has such a interesting style to his art, with textured-looking backgrounds juxtaposing the stark characters. Carbone’s art really elevates the story to new heights as it projects the story in a way that makes you feel every part of it.

Alongside Carbone is Rachelle Rosenberg who always brings the heat when she’s handling the colors. Leaning into the spooky energy of the comic, she somehow is able to make the ghosts of the comic look stunning with their light blue look contrasting the dark surroundings. Together, both artists compliment each other’s work phenomenally.
