Catch up with Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #12 here!
The Story
Moon Knight continues to try to solve the mystery of the haunting of the Wrecker, but still can’t figure out why this haunting seems so off? Are the ghosts being played under someone else’s plan?
The only person that Moon Knight can turn to for help is Doctor Strange, but unfortunately that isn’t possible. Instead, he runs into the wife of Doctor Strange, Clea, who actually likes Moon Knight much more than Stephen Strange ever did.
After asking Clea for help, she makes it clear that she is no Doctor Strange. All she can do is release Moon Night and Layla’s astral forms so their able to find out for themselves.
Now seeing the world in the eyes of a magician, Moon Knight has the ability to see the magic that’s working with these ghosts. Not sure what he will find, Moon Knight locates the magic, but gets much more of a surprise than he bargained for.
Jed MacKay brought a great continuation from Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #12 that continues the spooky and mystical vibes just in time for the Halloween time. The supporting characters were excellent choices as Clea and Layla both added a good bit of depth to the story. With the cliffhanger we were left on, I’m very excited to see where Jed MacKay takes us with the story!
The Art
The artwork of Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu has been consistently high in quality all thanks to the artists of the comic. Domenico Carbone brings a beautiful mixture of abstract art with excellent details in each panel that hammers the mystical energy into place. Rachelle Rosenberg brings a vibrant look into the comic with her work on the colors that contrasts Moon Knight’s stark white look which makes him pop off each page.
Cory Petit always delivers when he works on the lettering, and this is no exception. You can read the emotions through the words very clearly making it easy to understand the characters feelings. With a perfect flow of dialogue throughout the comic, Petit knocked it out of the park.
Overall Grade – 9.1/10
Just in time for Halloween, Jed MacKay brings a spooky and mystical new issue of Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu that keeps you hooked into the story the entire time.
