The Story

Being the leader of a group of psychic powerhouses can’t be easy, but Quentin Quire has been doing whatever he can to teach these young fighters. Strengthening their abilities, teaching them what’s right and wrong, and using their abilities to further the mission of Revelation are some of his responsibilities. Quentin takes his job very seriously, as he should. But what happens when when the students surpass him? What is Quentin to do when the Omega Kids go behind his back and use their powers for evil?

In Omega Kids #3, Quentin gets humbled in ways he doesn’t expect, with the kids using their abilities to keep him locked in a simulation. For days at a time, Quentin was living in this made up simulation, thinking everything he was experiencing was real. Thanks to Rachel Summers, he was able to bust out of the simulation, but now he knows how strong the kids are. Now knowing how strong the Omega Kids are, Quinten knows what he has to do.

The Writing

Tony Fleecs has made Omega Kids an exciting experience from beginning to end. The Age of Revelation has been a wild ride, especially with Omega Kids being one of the teams to further along Revelation’s will. Most of the stories to come out of X-Men: Age of Revelation has been about the character’s own journey since the Gene Bomb, so I really liked getting a look behind the Revelation territories.

Quentin Quire running his own psychic division made for an exciting story with twists at every turn. Fleecs gave a perfect ending to the story, with Quentin finally putting his foot down and standing on his own two feet against the group of kids who made him feel less than. With Rachel Summers by his side, the Omega Kids had no choice but to be humbled by The Kid Omega.

The Art

The artwork of Omega Kids has been consistently high in quality, with pull page looks that’ll keep your eyes locked into the comic. With flawlessly detailed panels, and the constant pink color that’s a staple of Kid Omega, the vibe of the psychic power dominates the comic. What I really enjoyed was the end simulations created by Quentin himself, with some really X-cellent cameos thrown into the mix. Every character was beautifully drawn, with their classic looks popping off the pages. All of the fantastic artwork is thanks to Andrés Genolet, Fer Sifuentes-Sujo, and Travis Lanham, who made Omega Kids a beautiful experience from beginning to end.

Final Thoughts

Omega Kids #3 brings the heat as the perfect way to end the exciting story.
