Creative Team: Stephanie Williams (WRITER), Ariel Medel (ARTIST), Valentina Pinto (COLORS), Jonathan Dobbs (COLOR ASSISTANT), Jeff Eckleberry (LETTERS), and Phillip Murphy (COVER).

The Story:

Stephanie has done it again! She continues to capture the heart and soul of what makes the Street Sharks must-read material. We get to see them finally being able to interact as normal when they go undercover in this issue, and it shows them that maybe there is more to them than big muscles and sharp teeth. Meanwhile, the suspense is kept tight as Dr. Paradigm finally gets a win, setting up something big on the horizon as Repteel has gotten away with an amplifier. Stephanie Williams is doing incredible work building on the mythos of these characters and crafting fun issues that hit us right in the heart.

The Art and Letters:

Ariel, Valentina, and Jonathan continue bringing this world to life in vibrant ways. Whether it be a panel where Ripster is carrying armfuls of hamburgers (which is goals) or the soft emotion that Jab feels when he saves the lost child. There is more to the sharks than meets the eye to which the art team captures their range of emotions with immense detailing. Phillip’s letters are capturing the tone and heart with every word, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the story deeper with every issue.

Final Thoughts:

Street Sharks #3 brings us a different side of the boys as they get to feel normal for a change, and this also leads to potential disaster! Dr. Paradigm is working on a sinister plan, and the entire team on this run grabs you with each issue, pulling you into a fun world that makes us feel like that kid again!

Overall Grade: 9.5/10
