Catch up with Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #3 here!
This comic is reviewed by both Megan from the Vigilante Vibes Podcast and Matt from the Hops “Geek” News podcast!

The Story
Matt – Where do I even begin?! This issue is a massive mind trip through the 5th dimension, and I ate up every second of it in pure joy. If you are not familiar with Ice Cream Man, this will introduce you to that world. I love how we skip around, and even Batman showcases that he has an imagination. Also, what is Brian’s problem? He should go to therapy instead of ruining dimensions. Lex Luthor in the background, amongst the chaos, is almost forgotten about, and I am very excited to see how this run wraps up in the final issue.
Megan – Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #4 is as trippy as it’s gotten so far in the series, and I’m here for it. With Alice in Wonderland vibes throughout the comic while Superman is in his own imagination, the story switches back and forth from Superman to Batman in reality. Batman is worried beyond belief about Superman being trapped in what is called “lethal nonsense”, so he calls in reinforcements from a fan favorite to help him and his superfriend.
Meanwhile, while the team is doing their best to help Superman out of this fifth dimension, Lex Luthor is doing what Lex Luther does best, and is continuing his journey into taking own Superman.
The Art
Matt – Starting with the cover, it is preparing us for what is coming inside the book itself. There are many different art styles in this issue, and the art team of Martin and Chris is truly showing off their best work and abilities. We get fourth wall breaks and Superman turning into spaghetti and even a new sleep paralysis demon as we see Superman as an Elf! This issue truly has it all and I loved every second of it.
Megan – On the inside of this lethal nonsense of Superman’s imagination, you’ll see vibrancy, lunacy, and will have to take a double take of each page, which is brought to us by Martin Morazzo and Chris O’Halloran. Both artists really nailed the energy of the over-the-top imagination, with Morazzo using his artistic abilities to bring this wild world of imagination while O’Halloran handles the vibrant and colorful aspect of it all.
Final Thoughts
Matt – 10/10. Prepare yourself for inter-dimensional travel, trips inside of Batman’s and Superman’s minds and all around utter chaos as Superman The Kryptonite Spectrum packs itself an incredibly adventurous punch. We have never seen a story like this before, and you should not miss out!
Megan – 9/10. The fourth issue stands out for obvious reasons, with the exciting aspect of a new and unhinged world that Superman is trapped in. With the appearance of a few characters that brings the excitement, the story itself was fantastic.
