NOT A LOVE STORY

Firs of all, this is no quirky love story between old friends. Instead, it’s more of a horror-thriller. Which takes place in one location, Perennial Harbor. A mysterious and isolated town from the rest of civilization. The leading character is Jessica Harmon. She returned to Perennial Harbor after she ran away many years ago.

The reason for her return was her friend and teenage crush Melody Nelson. Jessica Hamon walked the streets of Perennial Harbor with caution. But with plenty of wonder. Because the place looked stuck in time. Like a ghost town where nobody lived, but nobody left either.

SLIPPING THROUGH TIME

As far as Melody Nelson goes, she’s very much lost. Lost ion time that is. There’s something about Perennial Harbor that’s yet to be revealed. But it sure involves people phasing in and out of a timeline.

Melody tried her best to explain her most recent memories to Jessica. Which didn’t make much sense for the reader. However, Jessica completely understood the situation and tried to act on the little information she had. That’s when the big plot twist is revealed. There is so much more to get to in this series than a long-lost love story.

HOW ABOUT THE ART?

If I understand it correctly, this is the debut of by Keith Browning and Brad Simpson as a comic book artist and colorist in comic book. For all intents and purposes, they have done themselves proud in their introduction to comic books.

The crafted world in these pages is very much in sync with the tone of the story. The characters look supernatural. Then everything about Perennial Harbor looks and feels eerie. You will be submerged in this story from the very first panel to the last one.

OVERALL GRADE: 9/10

There is no way you will be prepared for what’s in store for Blink and You’ll Miss it. From the world building to the thrill of time travel in place. There is a clear perception of a well-crafted story.

Although, the rules of this universe are not explained yet, it’s not of consequence when taking in consideration everything that is happening here. Ethan S. Parker & Griffin Sheridan will have you at the edge of your seat while you dive into this tale.
